What are they?

Accent Walls for Less than $100!

There are a few different types of accent walls that cost less than $100!

They are:

  1. Paint
  2. Shiplap
  3. Trim Accent Walls

All of them are easy to do, provide a significant change, and bring a sense of wow factor to any room– living room, dining room, bedroom, bathroom, etc!

So, I’d like to share some inspiration pictures to show you how much impact each accent wall can make in a room space!

Enjoy!

Accent Walls- Paint

Do you know why I love Paint?!?  Paint is an inexpensive & simple way to transform any space!  It is easy to do and doesn’t require a lot of skill or even time!  Thus, it’s the perfect choice for an accent wall in your home!

Here is what I would do.  Take a wall in the space that stands out and is a focal point.  Choose a color that provides a contrast from the rest of your paint choices!  For example a light vs. dark contrast!

I’ve been a Beautitone paint user from Home Hardware throughout all 3 of my homes!  It has a creamy texture and applies to the wall really well!  Our accent wall color above is called Wish Upon a Star

Beautitone paints come in a wide range of colors with new trending colors always emerging!  Plus, online, there is a color visualizer where you can upload your room and play around with the colors!

Finally…and probably the best part…you can earn free paint with their rewards program!

Accent Walls- Shiplap

OK, we all know that shiplap is all the rage right now!  But did you know that you can have it in your own home for less than $100?  Crazy right- because it looks so custom!

What better way to bring in a farmhouse feels to your home than with shiplap!  Below is our shiplap stairway accent wall!

There a few different ways that you can add shiplap.  Cut strips from plywood to plank your wall, or buy actual shiplap boards from your local store.  Both have a great final look to them, but the plywood is actually cheaper.

Here are some guides for how to use shiplap in your home & install your own made from plywood!

Add a fun gallery wall on top of your shiplap and pop in some of your favorite quotes into frames to provide an instant conversation piece.  Check out all the different styles of printables that would work perfectly on your accent wall in our Etsy Shop!

Accent Walls- Trim

There is so much you can do with trim- wood or MDF!  Depending on the look you want to achieve, you can easily add some trim pieces to create a traditional or modern feel to your home.

Simply choose a pattern, add your trim, and paint it the color of your choice!  Voila!

Try out these patterns to add that visual impact you are craving!
