I know, I made you wait over a week to see the final reveal of the foyer entrance! So sorry, but life got in the way– baseball tournaments, school field trips, 5 km fundraiser walk, and just…well- life!  It’s June now and being a teacher, this is the busiest time wrapping up classes, completing final projects, exams, and yes…report cards.

Anyhow…Here’s where we left off.   In my last post- Foyer Entrance Revamp– I took you all through the demo and rebuilding of our foyer. We altered the flooring, layout, lighting fixture, stair tread, and paint colors.

Modern Farmhouse Foyer Reveal

This was a project that happened during the main renovation of the stairs/ living room/ dining room/ and of course the Modern Farmhouse Kitchen!

I’ll put these related posts at the bottom for you to check out at your convenience. Because if you made it to the bottom of this post…most likely you liked what you saw and want to see more of our renovations!  And if so…then you should also subscribe because we have a BIG list of reno’s still to come 🙂

OK- So…ready for the final reveal?

Ta-Da!

Welcome to our Home- Foyer

Welcome to our Home!  Would you like to come on it?

Come on in to our Foyer!

Here’s a picture looking into our house that captures the front foyer entrance all the way through the living room to the back of our home!

Modern Farmhouse Foyer

Looking into the front foyer entrance here from the living room.  You can see our black modern metal stair railing leading to our basement.  What you can’t see is our shiplap feature wall- that link is at the bottom of this post.

This is our new front hall closet.  We decided to choose a craftsman style door to hang and still need to update the bedroom doors to match.  See that white cabinet?  It’s the perfect fit and holds all of our arts & craft materials- the kids use it daily!

Front Hall Table

On the flip side.

OK, can we talk about this industrial style console table?  Can you believe that my husband made it and surprised me with it a couple of years ago at Christmas!  Amazing right!?!   The wood is made out of walnut and all of the metal was powder-coated in a gunmetal grey color.

This vintage trunk was actually left behind in our very 1st house we purchased.  Previous owners were moving quite the distance and left this baby behind!  I love this trunk and it actually holds all of our wedding mementos in it.  Great for storage!

Oh…our lighting fixture?  You saw that did you 🙂  This modern farmhouse black lantern light fixture from Seagull Lighting.

Some modern farmhouse touches in our foyer reveal:

We are working on achieving the Modern Farmhouse style in our home and so the above pictures reflect adding some farmhouse flair and black or metal accents such as the door handles and large galvanized M from Hobby Lobby!

the before/ after pictures of the foyer reveal:

Just so you can compare the difference from the original front foyer entrance to our finished Modern Farmhouse foyer entrance, I added the picture below.  I always love seeing the before and after shots because they can really show a full transformation of a space.

Enjoy!

Final Thoughts:

I love this finished Modern Farmhouse foyer space.

But I always feel like it takes a few steps to get to your finished satisfaction. Step One- Reno,  Step Two- Final Touches and Step Three- Add Design & Decorate once you “feel” out the room.

Now that the space has been reno’ed and finished, I’m still staring at it wondering how I can make it just a bit better…and let me tell you…I have some ideas!

So- next week on the blog, I’m going to share with you some summer projects that I’m going to complete to fully complete this foyer space.  I’ll give you a hint- it includes a feature wall and stencils!

I hope you enjoyed the transformation of our foyer entrance.  As always, continue to check in and see our reno’s on the go as we keep altering the home to make it feel more like our style!

Cheers~
