It’s March and the warmer air is starting to arrive which makes me ready to start decorating my home for Spring!  Today I’m sharing some simple tips on how to decorate for Spring at Home.

How to Decorate your Home for Spring

Do you decorate your home for spring?  I love switching up my décor for the different seasons and holidays.  And it doesn’t even have to be too much either!

There’s something about changing your space that gives it new life and a refreshing feel.  Plus, adding some spring décor makes any space feel that much brighter and cheerful too!

Consider adding some simple spring elements to your rooms.  These could include spring wreaths, artificial stems & greenery, wall art & spring quote signs, as well as vases, baskets & catchall trays.  And the good news is that you don’t have to spend a lot of money to create an inviting spring home either!

Another way to add some spring energy is with color.  We tend to darken our rooms with cozy & warm colors for the fall & winter. It’s time to brighten up your spaces with lighter tones, pastel or vibrant colors, neutrals & lots of white too!  This can be as easy as switching out your textiles like pillows, blankets, & bedding too!

Perfect!  Shopping list is a go.  Now all we need is to understand how to display them to create a fresh take on our different rooms in the home!

Front Porch

  • Picture an inviting front porch display that includes a tall Welcome Sign, cute spring wreath on the door, some spring planters, lanterns, and a layered doormat!
  • If you have the room, add in a cute bench, a pair of rocking Adirondack chairs, or even perhaps a porch swing.  Oh…and dress them up with cute vibrant pillows of course!

Living Room

  • Adding some spring décor in your living room is easy.  Find yourself a vase you love and add in some fresh or artificial spring stems!
  • Find some cute spring wood signs that you can add to bookcases or as tabletop elements.
  • Consider decorating your fireplace mantle with greenery & a spring banner.
  • Display some spring-scented candles that freshen the air in your home.
  • Finally, freshen the space up with some natural baskets and neutral pillows & blankets that have lighter tones & fabrics.

Kitchen

  • Consider switching out your plates for a simple white collection for the spring and summer months.
  • Add some fresh flowers on your kitchen island in a vibrant color that makes you happy.
  • Bring out kitchen towels in light spring color tones.
  • Switch out your kitchen runner for a cute jute runner.

Dining Room

  • The dining room is the perfect spot to freshen up the atmosphere of your home by adding in some spring elements.
  • Start with a new neutral table runner and add a centerpiece that has greenery like eucalyptus or even some spring lavender in a big beautiful glass vase.
  • Hang a few spring wreaths in your window frames.
  • Use jute placemats under your dinnerware place settings.

Bedrooms

  • Time for a new look in the bedrooms too.  The easiest switch is in the bedding.
  • Opt for lighter fabrics & more neutral tones in your sheets, bedding, decorative pillows, and toss blanket.
  • Another simple switch out could be to add an artificial tree to your bedrooms such as a fig tree or olive tree.  Pop the tree in a cute decorative basket and enjoy!

    Hello.
I am envisioning your space and wonder if a painted vertical shiplap would be a nice look for your wall. Another idea would be to choose a super cute wallpaper to add some visual interest for a low cost. Hope this helps 🙂
